February is here. A rebirth is unfolding.
Friends on the Path,
I am writing this from Cascais, where the Atlantic has been tearing at the coastline for days. Storm after storm — Ingrid, Joseph, Kristin — one after another, relentless. Trees down. Roads closed. Roofs torn off by the wind. Floods everywhere. The sky a silvery grey that won't lift. There is something almost apocalyptic about it — the land itself being scoured clean.
It feels fitting. For this Piscean country. Because the sky is doing something enormous right now, and the weather — at least here in Portugal — seems to know it.
What just happened — and what is about to
On January 26th, Neptune left Pisces. After nearly fourteen years there — fourteen years of fog, of dissolving boundaries, of a world learning to navigate between the visible and the invisible. Now Neptune stepped into Aries. Into fire. Into the very first degree of the zodiac.
On February 13th, Saturn will move into Aries as well. The last time it was here was in 1996-98. You can think about themes that were present in your life then.
After that, on February 20th, Saturn will meet Neptune at 0° Aries. The conjunction perfects. We have all been feeling it for months already. But this is when they meet at the point in the zodiac where everything begins.
Let me say that again, because I want you to feel the weight of it: this alignment has not happened at 0° Aries in at least nine thousand years. This is about a complete restructuring of how humanity lives.
We are not talking about a minor transit. We are talking about a civilisation-level shift happening in the sky, and it is asking us — personally, intimately — to be reborn.
A wall came down in 1989
The previous Saturn-Neptune conjunction was in 1989. In Capricorn. And on November 9th of that year, the Berlin Wall came down.
Think about what that meant. For decades, an entire city — an entire people — had been told: this wall is permanent. This division is the way things are. There is no other way. The wall had stood since 1961. Generations had grown up believing that the world on the other side was simply unreachable.
And then, in the space of hours, it wasn't there anymore.
Saturn represents structures, walls, boundaries, the architecture of what we call reality. Neptune dissolves them. When these two meet, what has been built to last forever begins to crumble. Not slowly. Not gradually. Suddenly. Irrevocably.
People made that happen. Individuals stepped across that wall facing guards who could have shot them. That took courage. Courageous action in the face of a fear barrier that everyone around them had accepted as permanent.
Now Saturn and Neptune are meeting again. And this time, they are meeting at the very beginning of the zodiac. At the point of rebirth itself. In Aries, which points at the individual. There’s a focus on the “I”.
Which means: something in you is dissolving too.
Dissolving the wall within
What if something you have always told yourself could not happen... is exactly what is about to happen?
In my one on one sessions this month, I keep coming back to the same question. And I want to ask it of you now, gently, but directly:
What is your inner Berlin Wall?
What structure in your life — what belief about yourself, about what is possible, about who you are allowed to become — have you been treating as permanent? What have you accepted as simply the way things are, when in truth it was built? It was built by fear, or by someone else's story, or by an outdated version of you that wants to move on.
How about tearing down that wall? You do not need to fight it or force it down. Flow with Neptune, dissolve it. Quietly. Inevitably. From the inside.
Let the rebirth unfold. Enjoy as the rebirth unfolds. Go bravely into the new.
The spiritual warrior and the ego trap
Neptune in Aries is often described as the spiritual warrior. And I want to be precise about what that means, because there is a potential trap here that I sometimes see people walking into, and I would be failing you if I didn't name it.
Aries energy is bold. It is impulsive. It wants to act now, move now, break through now. And in 2026, there is a tremendous amount of Aries energy building. Saturn, Neptune, eventually Mars — and by summer, seven planets will be gathered in the same cardinal fire sign. The skies of this year come loaded with bravery.
But bravery without wise direction is recklessness.
The spiritual warrior does not act from the ego. The spiritual warrior acts from divine inspiration — from the higher self, from that quiet knowing that exists beneath the noise of desires, of the need to prove oneself, to win, to perform, to compete. If you have not been doing your inner work — if your ego has been driving your life — this Aries energy can amplify that too. It will make you feel certain of things that are not for your highest good. It will feel like courage when it is actually just a childish need to impress.
Ego wishes, once accomplished, feel vain and fruitless. They are quickly consumed without giving us what we thought we wanted. And then another desire shows up, ready to drift us astray.
This is the trap of Aries in 2026, and I say it with all the love I have: if you are not tending to your inner landscape, please seek guidance. A good therapist. A trusted spiritual teacher. Someone who can help you distinguish between the voice of your highest self and the voice of the ego dressed up as a guide.
It is time to educate your ego, so that it can do its role well — but not take over your life. Not replace what is the role of the Real Self.
Use the bravery to see beyond. Use it to say no to what needs to be said no to. Use it to make space to listen. Be open to guidance that goes against what your ego says it wants. That is where Neptune takes you — towards the Higher Self, towards Spirit. Like never before 2026.
The space of pure unknown
However, this is not a time for full clarity. Not yet.
Neptune is the planet of fog, of dissolution, of not-knowing. And it is entering Aries — the sign of action — at the very same moment that Saturn is joining it there. Saturn wants structure. Neptune dissolves it. The tension between these two is the very texture of this year. It means that 2026 will feel, at times, like trying to build a house on water.
If you are feeling unclear right now, please hear me: lack of clarity is not a failure. It is as much a part of life as clarity is. You do not need to have it all figured out. Try to simply stay with it — to sit in the not-knowing without forcing a resolution. The answers are coming. But they are coming on their own timeline, not yours.
Become acquainted with the unknown. Make friends with discomfort. Welcome more possible expressions of life in. Uncertainty, fear, doubt, discomfort — these are also important things to feel. Be open to them. Everything we feel transforms. And every feeling is temporary, just waiting to be welcomed, received, and felt. Then is transforms into something else.
There is an endless space of possibility here. The pure unknown. And if you can learn to embrace it — rather than contract against it — it will open doors you could never have imagined.
February: the next steps
We are in a special window of time right now. The Full Moon in Leo was exact on February 1st, at 10:09pm in Portugal. It lands opposite a breathtaking Aquarius stellium: Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto all gathered together. This is a lunation about letting the heart lead. About embodying who you truly are, rather than performing who others want you to be. It’s about sharing yourself, as you are.
And then, on February 17th, there is a solar eclipse. Three days later, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction perfects.
February is a good time to take some steps in the right direction. But do not rush to go fully in. A great deal is still building. From the end of April onwards, there will be important information arriving — things will become clearer, the picture will sharpen. The astrology between now and then is a coordinated dance: from Capricorn, through Aquarius, through Pisces, and then into the full blaze of Aries through the summer months.
For now: take one step. Maybe two or three. Feel the ground beneath your feet. Trust that the next steps will reveal themselves, and by the end of the year and into the next, a new path will have formed. That path is part of the making of a new era.
Nature as teacher
I keep watching the storms here and thinking about how nature never apologises for its power. Storm after storm — Ingrid, Joseph, Kristin — the Atlantic is not asking permission. It is simply doing what it does. Clearing. Reshaping. Making space for what comes next.
There is something in that for us, isn't there? A permission to be as forceful as life requires us to be. Not destructive. Not reckless. But honest. Unmistakable. Unafraid of taking up space.
Rebirth is not always gentle. Sometimes it looks like a storm. Sometimes it looks like everything falling apart at once. But underneath the destruction, something is already growing. Something that could not have grown in the old landscape.
2026 may come with a fair amount of crisis — on the world stage and in our own lives. But crisis, when met consciously, is one of the most powerful teachers there is. New understanding comes. New inspiration arrives. A new you is built in that process.
A great year to seek guidance
This year may feel foggy at times. It may feel too fast at others. The astrology is genuinely intense — multiple outer planets having important transits simultaneously, a conjunction that reshapes eras, eclipses that punctuate the shifts. You do not need to navigate this alone.
Seek guidance. From a therapist, a teacher, a trusted friend, a mentor, a spiritual practice, a goddess or god. From yourself, when you can find the stillness to listen.
I am thinking of a new way in which I can support you through these wild transits. This is astrology I have been waiting for a long time, and it is a joy to guide you along the unfolding of 2026. I will be offering Spiritual Mentoring and Astrology as guidance through recorded audios — a package with monthly or bimonthly guidance. It will be something intimate. With depth. As I honour my traveling self, and my passion for responding to the needs you have been sharing with me. I will tell you more soon.
A suggestion for you
Reflect or journal on this question:
How do I connect to Spirit?
Let this guide the unfolding of your rebirth.
Thank you for walking this path with me. For showing up, for sitting with the deeper questions. It matters more than you know.
With love from the storms,
Rita
